From the shallow warm water of Los Nietos to the Mediterranean surf on the far side of La Manga.
The lagoon side offers calm, shallow, warm water — ideal for families and paddleboarding. The Mediterranean side gives you waves, deeper water and cooler swims.
Favourites include Playa de Los Narejos (Los Alcázares), Playa Colón (Santiago de la Ribera), Playa Paraíso and Playa del Pudrimel in La Manga, Playa de Los Nietos and Playa de la Hita, a protected area popular with birdwatchers.
Most beaches have blue flag facilities, lifeguards in summer, and a chiringuito within walking distance.
