Mar Menor Life is owned and operated by M.H.C, trading as Mar Menor Life ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website you are entering into an agreement with M.H.C. Contact: info@madharper.ltd.

By accessing or continuing to use Mar Menor Life you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age.

Mar Menor Life is an independent local guide: a directory of bars, restaurants, shops and services, area and beach guides, event listings, property listings, practical guides to moving to Spain, and AI-assisted Spanish language and cooking helpers. Businesses may claim and manage their own listing under a paid subscription.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Information you submit — business details, photos, menus, events and enquiries — must be accurate and kept up to date.

You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of Spanish, UK or EU law;
• submit fraudulent, misleading or spam content, fake reviews, or listings for businesses you do not own;
• upload content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• upload malware, probe or interfere with the security of the site, or scrape or bulk-extract our data;
• harass other users, or post hateful, defamatory or obscene material.

Our Spanish language and cooking assistants produce AI-generated output. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and must not be relied on as professional, legal, financial, medical or food-safety advice. You are responsible for your prompts, for verifying output before relying on it, and for holding the rights to any content you enter. You must not use these features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or to attempt to circumvent safety limits. We may filter, refuse or remove output and suspend accounts that abuse these features.

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, resize and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting Mar Menor Life. We may moderate, edit for length or formatting, decline or remove any submission — including reviews and business listings — at our discretion. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, email info@madharper.ltd and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it; repeat infringers will have their access terminated.

The site itself — its software, design, branding, editorial guides and compiled directory data — remains the property of M.H.C. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the site for its intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer or circumvent technical limits.

Claiming and managing a business listing costs €10.00 per month, billed monthly in advance and renewing automatically until cancelled. Claims are subject to our approval; we may decline a claim where ownership cannot be verified. Prices are shown in euros and may include applicable taxes.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy. You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

We work to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Directory details, opening hours, event dates and property information are provided in good faith and may change — always confirm with the business or agent directly.

The site links to independent legal, mortgage, language-learning and property partners, and we may receive a referral fee. Those services are provided by the partner under their own terms; we are not a party to that relationship and give no advice on legal, tax, financial or immigration matters.

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use of the site, or your breach of these terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access, listing or account for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your listing is unpublished and your content may be deleted; you may request an export of your listing content within 30 days.

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and the courts of the Region of Murcia have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. We may assign this agreement as part of a merger or acquisition; you may not assign it without our consent. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond their reasonable control.
